As part of our special series celebrating the outstanding individuals on the Digital Education Awards Judges Panel, today we are proud to spotlight Balazs Koren, a mathematics teacher, EdTech advisor, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for digital education.


Balazs is a distinguished figure in the realm of educational technology, bringing a unique blend of teaching expertise, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit. As a mathematics teacher and teacher trainer at ELTE University, he equips future educators with the tools and confidence to harness the power of digital learning. In his role as head of the ProSuli program at Yettel Hungary, he drives innovation by encouraging teachers to integrate EdTech solutions into their curricula.


His dedication to advancing education extends further through his contributions to GeoGebra, a platform transforming the way mathematics is taught worldwide. Balazs has also demonstrated visionary leadership as the former Head of Education and Founder of VR-AR Education, where he pioneered the use of immersive technologies to enhance learning experiences.


With over eight years of experience preparing teams for robotics competitions and serving as a judge at WRO, FLL, and FGC events at both local and international levels, Balazs brings invaluable perspective on the transformative role of technology in education.


Through his wide-ranging contributions as a teacher, innovator, and judge, Balazs enriches our panel with a forward-thinking vision for digital education. His perspective ensures that innovation remains practical, impactful, and grounded in empowering both educators and learners.
